How the calculation works

  1. 1. Basic salary = 40% of CTC (industry standard)

  3. 3. EPF deduction = 12% of basic (employee share)

  5. 5. Tax computed on (CTC − ₹75K) using FY 2026-27 slabs
  6. 6. Rebate u/s 87A wipes tax up to ₹12L taxable income
  7. 7. 4% cess added on tax payable
